Gender Reveal

The one result a patient actually wants to share.

Gender Reveal turns the fetal sex finding from a scan into a moment the family can gather for, in the room and across the country, sourced from your practice rather than a website someone typed an answer into.

Every other document Medervia sends is administrative. This is the one your patients will show twenty people, with your clinic's name on it.

$25 a month plus GST, free for the first 14 days (up to 25 sends a day). Cheaper still beside another app.

Olivia and James's reveal

Every screen, at the same moment

12 guests in the room

  • Ruth B.
  • Hannah W.
  • Grace O.
  • Elena P.
  • Thomas B.
  • and 7 more

A minute of clinic time, then it belongs to the family.

The practice loads the finding and sends one invitation. Everything after that is the patient's.

  1. In the clinic: load the result once

After the scan, the finding is entered twice to confirm it, a look is chosen, and one email goes to the patient. It takes about a minute and nobody else in the practice needs to touch it.

  2. The patient: one invitation to forward

The email asks her to forward it to anyone she wants there. It carries no answer and no sign-in, so forwarding it gives nothing away.

  3. The room fills

Family on the sofa scan a QR code off her screen; family interstate or overseas open the forwarded link. Everyone sees who has arrived, and she can remove a guest or lock the room.

  4. The moment, on every screen

She presses start. The server picks the instant, so a dozen phones count down together and land together. Afterwards she can download a keepsake certificate.

Then try it yourself, step by step:

Prepare a gender reveal

Enter the result once, choose a look, and send the patient her reveal room.

Everything else protects the moment.

A surprise that leaks is not a surprise, and a warm product that mishandles a hard week is not warm. These are design rules, not settings.

  • Nothing leaks early

The finding appears in no link, message, page source or link-preview card. It is released only when the patient presses start, and drawn on each screen at that moment.

  • The server owns the clock

No device counts down on its own. Late arrivals catch up, a dropped connection gets the reveal on reconnect, and a guest refreshing early learns nothing.

  • Only the patient can start it

She proves she is the host with a code sent to her, or from her own portal. A guest holding a forwarded link can watch, never start.

  • Cancelling is one step

A pregnancy can end. Cancelling closes the room at once, on every screen. There is deliberately no field asking why, because that field would be a record of a pregnancy outcome.

  • No reminders, ever

Medervia never nudges a patient about a reveal and never follows up. One invitation, when the clinic sends it.

  • Keepsake, not clinical record

The certificate states what was determined, by which method, on which date, with your clinic's name. It goes to the patient, not into the clinical record, and it is deleted with the room.

  • No app for the guests

Guests need no account and no app. Point a phone at the screen, or tap the link, and they are in the room.

  • The clinic is the source

The finding comes from the practice that performed the scan. That is the point, and it is why this is a clinic app rather than a public toy anyone can type into.

What it says, and what it does not.

A reveal states what was determined, by which method, and on which date: the finding from a scan on a day, attributed to the practice that made it. It does not assert what a child is, and it quotes no accuracy figure, because the small chance the finding is wrong belongs to your clinicians to discuss rather than to a certificate to gloss over.

It is offered to patients who want it. It is never part of a clinical workflow, never a default, and no patient is prompted twice.

Part of your clinic, not a separate system.

  • Start from the patient

Every app can be started from a patient's record or from your contacts list, with several patients ticked at once where the app sends to many. Whatever an app produces for a patient is gathered on that patient's record.

  • Your records stay if you stop

Cancel an app and nothing it produced is lost. Its records and documents stay with your clinic and on each patient's record, and your patients keep their copies. Only sending new ones stops.

Offer it to the patients who ask.

Add Gender Reveal beside your other apps, and send your first invitation after the next scan.
