Have an agreement accepted in the room

Hand a waiting agreement to the patient in a room, for them to accept on the room's tablet or on your device.

Anyone in the clinic, when the clinic has Rooms.

A patient who has not yet accepted the agreement you emailed can accept it in the room instead. It is the same agreement, recorded once, whichever way they accept it.

  1. Send the agreement as usual

An agreement is handed out after it has been sent. Send it from Assignment of Benefit in the usual way.

  2. Place the patient in the room

Place the patient in the room. If someone else agrees on their behalf, such as a parent, place that person in the room too, from Carers and others: the agreement can only be handed out while they are there.

  3. Hand it out

On the patient's row in the room, press Hand out. Under Waiting for the patient, tick the agreement and press Hand out.

  4. They read and accept

On the room's tablet, the patient chooses their name and opens the agreement. Without a tablet, press Complete with patient here under Handed out today and hand them your device.

They read the agreement, tick the boxes, tick I am signing this document, and press I agree. If something is wrong, they press Something is wrong instead, and you can correct it and send it again.

With a tablet in the room, Open with patient shows you the agreement as the patient reads it, following their screen.

Good to know

  • The PDF says the agreement was signed in person, in which room, who handed it out and who was placed in the room. Your clinic's copy arrives as usual, and the patient is sent theirs as when they accept by email.
  • If nobody completes it that day, the handout times out and the emailed agreement stays open.
